Part 2: 1132 km 

Andalusia, a region in southern Spain, is a mesmerizing blend of history, culture, nature, and gastronomy. It’s a place where the echoes of ancient civilizations mingle with the vibrancy of modern life, creating an irresistible allure for slow travelers, road trip enthusiasts, and anyone with a spirit of adventure. Whether you’re wandering through majestic palaces, hiking dramatic landscapes, or savoring unique flavors, Andalusia invites you to take it all in at your own pace. This guide will take you through 31 must-see locations (along the 3 articles), each offering its own unique charm and unforgettable experiences.

Where will we Go

While in the previous article we dedicated our efforts to travel around the Eastern side of Andalucia where the deserts, the mountains, and the amazing Coast of Almeria it’s a must, now, we enter the central part of the region and travel though original and selected locations till reach the western side of a big region with 8 provinces and 87,597 km².

Tradition,  Gastronomy, Culture and eternal beaches are waiting for us in this part of the trip.  

Take it easy, drive your car or your bike slowly, pay attention, don’t forget to discover secondary roads and possible alternatives, this is a very interesting part of the trip: Let’s go, it’s time to travel south! 

Best Time to Visit: Spring (March-May) or Autumn (September-November) for mild weather and fewer crowds.

We left Zuheros, in Cordoba province, and will continue in Cordoba’s province visiting one of the sacred paradises of the Iberic pork, the “Valle de los Pedroches”, We have avoid in this route Cordoba and Seville city, to include more locations, but both deserve a good stop to discover the essence of the region and the urban context of Andalusia.
